Camp J Miami Newsletter

Week four at Camp J was an unforgettable finale to our first session, filled with imagination, movement, and celebration from our youngest explorers to our oldest adventurers.

In ECD, our preschoolers blasted off into a cosmic week full of color, sparkle, and just the right amount of mess. From the first splash to the final dance move, each day was packed with laughter, learning, and a little bit of magic. The Bubble Show was the star of the week, with giant shimmering bubbles floating through the air and campers squealing with joy. Our budding scientists dove into galactic slime, stretching and swirling their way through nebula-like goo, while our little artists lit up the room with neon tempera creations that glowed like planets in space.

Over in Upper Camp, we dove into the world of Atlantis with a beach dress-up day and ended the session in true Camp J style. Campers painted an “under the sea” mural, experimented with foamy eruptions of elephant toothpaste, and devoured colorful quesadillas. From gymnastics and Capoeira to standout basketball plays in Sports Camp, every corner of camp was alive with activity. We watched our Hip-Hop and Cheerleading Hobby Hour campers light up the stage with their Tarzan-inspired routines and cheered on the stars of Habimah as they reimagined classic tales in their performance of "Bedtime Stories." The week ended with a splash as campers slipped, slid, and soaked in the fun during our Wet and Wild Day.

A heartfelt thank you to all our first session families for being part of this journey. We’re excited to welcome our second session campers next week as we dive right into one of our favorite camp traditions, Maccabia Color War!

Come be a part of the magic of Maccabia!  We are looking for volunteers to assemble Color War swag bags on Monday, July 14^th, at 10 AM in the Children's Museum.

Maccabiah Color War breaks out on Monday! On Monday, you'll find out whether your camper gets to join the white team or the blue team. 

Tuesday 7/15 - Thursday 7/17

On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, campers will follow our Maccabiah Color War schedule full of spirit sessions and friendly competition! 

We encourage campers to dress in their team color and show their team spirit all three days.

There will be no aquatics activities on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. 

Color War winner will be announced Thursday afternoon, so we don't recommend early dismissals! 

Make an impact while supporting your team! Donate kosher canned goods! Which team will bring in the most canned goods? Each donated item will add points to your camper's team, then Tsofim will bring the items to the Kosher Food Bank for the Week 6 field trip!
