Education, Motivation and Transformation

 

Want a personalized fitness regiment that will get you energized and give you the confidence to succeed? Our Fitness Specialists provide exceptional one-on-one personal training as well as buddy and group training sessions*. All trainers are certified nationally through an accredited organization as a minimum and are all First Aid, CPR and AED certified. Prices are as follows:

JCC Members $55/60 minutes; $45/45 minutes; $35/30 minutes; $80/60-minute Buddy Training (2 people).

Guests $65/60 minutes ($55 + $10 all-access day pass)

  *All personal training sessions purchased must be used within a 6-month period. Sessions may be frozen or transferred; with medical documentation.  Clients are asked to call a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the scheduled training session. Appointments cancelled with fewer than 24 hours notice, and scheduled appointments you do not show up for without the proper communication courtesy will be charged the full amount. Unused sessions still available after cancellation of your membership will result in a session loss.

Santiago

Certifications:
Professional Kickboxing Federation, World Trainers School, American Council of Exercise

A Certified Professional Kickboxer and Instructor since 1998, Santiago has been training out of the Alper JCC since 2007. His personal training focuses on athletes, self-defense, strength and conditioning, post therapy, osteoporosis prevention, and flexibility. He welcomes all ages!

Jonathan

Certifications: National Academy of Sports Medicine, TRX, BS in Psychology

Jonathan is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine with a BS degree in Psychology from FIU. At the age of 19, he won the Teen Championship in bodybuilding at the NPC Florida Gold Cup Classic in 2013. His specialties include muscle building (hypertrophy), weight loss, strength training and conditioning.

Giordany

Certifications: American Aerobics Association International / International Sports Medicine Association, TRX, BS in Recreation and Sports Management

Giordany enjoys training clients of all ages, and works well with teenage athletes. He believes in setting realistic goals for individuals and guiding them every step of the way, and that everyone has the potential to improve themselves.

Patty

Patty carries herself as a fitness expert and pioneer in what she calls the revolutionary world of health, fitness and nutrition. She has over 34 years of experience and specializes in stretching, conditioning, stability training and post surgery rehab of hips and knees.

Shane

Certifications: National Council on Strength & Fitness, TRX, Bomarito Performance

Shane has been coaching for sports for more than 20 years and has been working at the J for more than 7 years. His specialty is cross training and interval training, especially with young athletes and people who want to have as they reach their fitness goals. He welcomes all ages and can’t wait to give you a workout you wouldn’t forget.

Sebastian

Certification:American Council of Exercise

Sebastian is a certified personal trainer who has been working at the JCC for over a year. His philosophy focuses around continual lifelong learning while working to enhance the well-being of his clients. He empowers his clients by providing the knowledge, skills, support, guidance and resources to assist and most of all inspire their journey to a healthier life.

Evelyn

Certifications: American College of Sports Medicine, MS in Exercise Physiology (UM)

Evelyn has played collegiate sports, coached High School soccer and has over 25 years in the industry as a National Figure Competitor, Personal Trainer and Professor of Health and Wellness. Research work has been published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research and Obesity Research.

Adam 

Certifications: American Council of Exercise, National Academy of Sports Medicine, Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, BLS, BS in Recreation and Sports Management

As a highly certified personal trainer, Adam has been in the fitness field for more than 4 years and is pursuing a career in physical therapy. When he isn't working out or training, Adam enjoys being active in sports such as basketball, soccer, and racquetball. His personal training focuses on overall fitness and being able to live to the fullest.

Since this Alper JCC  campus opened over 25 years ago, Linda has been leading classes and training our clients. Her range of instructing includes low impact aerobics, Silver Sneakers, Spinning, step and body sculpting.

Emily

Certification: American Council of Exercise

Fitness is something Emily holds very close to her heart. She started playing sports at a young age; always trying to compete and keep up with her three brothers. Emily's dad is very passionate about powerlifting, and was eager to share his expertise with her. After researching and experimenting with different training styles, Emily decided to become a certified personal trainer, so she might ignite that same fire in others that her dad did in her. Now she absolutely loves what she does, and is also currently pursuing a career in Physical Therapy.

Marjorie

Marjorie has a background in physical therapy. She specializes in Rehab Exercises, Strength Training & Muscle toning. She believes in bringing positivity & energy to every workout. She welcomes all ages & fitness levels.

Harry 

Certification: American Council of Exercise

Harry is a certified personal trainer and has coached basketball at the JCC since 2005. He works with all ages and specializes in training kids in elementary through high school to help enhance their endurance and skills for the game. He loves to challenge his clients and bring out the best in them.

Zoey

Certification: American Council of Exercise

Zoey believes in order to reach your greatest potential you need to step out of your comfort zone. She is ACE Certified and has a strong passion in fitness and health. She enjoys working with people and helping those that say they can’t, can!

Jonathan

Jonathan has been a JCC member for over 10 years and has worked as a JCC camp counselor and basketball coach. With a background in both playing and coaching organized athletics, he has worked with a variety of ages and backgrounds. He recently graduated with his bachelors in Sports & Fitness, completing a Capstone internship for a Physical Therapy clinic. Jonathan looks forward to pursuing a career in the field of Training/Therapy.

Eduardo

Eduardo has been transforming clients into champs for the last 8 years, beginning with himself. Fusing both academic studies and fitness core concepts to shape his ideal body image and challenge his limits each day. He specializes in Fat-loss, Strength & Conditioning, corrective exercise training, Sport Specific Training, and is willing to coach anyone motivated and up for the challenge.

Randy

Randy prides himself in being an educator and motivator with 35 years of weight lifting and dietary experience. He’s learned from great bodybuilders and power lifters, and currently teaches TRX. His clients enjoy the challenge he gives them as they overcome their goals.

Marc

Certification: National Council on Strength & Fitness

Marc has a strong background in general fitness, endurance conditioning, and basketball cross- training. He has been playing basketball all his life and has been coaching and training athletes in our local community. Marc welcomes all who are new to fitness!
