Are there any scholarships available?

We have two different options for scholarships:

The Children’s Trust: If applying for The Children’s Trust, there is a set fee to attend JDays. To receive an application for The Children’s Trust, please email nmiller@alperjcc.org.

Alternate Financial Aid: If you are interested in financial aid, please contact michaelaj@alperjcc.org for more information.

Is Transportation available?

If your child goes to Ben Gamla Kendall or Somerset Prep, our staff will pick them up from their classes and bring them to the Jdays program. 

If your child goes to Leewood K-8 Center or William Lehman K-8 Center, transportation is available at an extra cost of $60/month.

Interested in JDays but your child goes to a different school? Reach out and let us know!  We are happy to extend our transportation to other schools if enrollment from that school is sufficient.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

  1. I UNDERSTAND that my monthly payments for my JDays Registration will remain in full force until the end of the school year or until I notify the Alper JCC in writing, 30-days prior that I wish to withdraw my child. 
  2. CANCELLATION/ WITHDRAWAL REQUESTS- All cancellations/withdrawals require 30 days advanced written notice to the JDays Office prior to withdrawing from JDays. 
  3. I UNDERSTAND that if I withdraw my child from JDays that I am responsible for all JDays payments including the 30-day cancellation period and AUTHORIZE the Alper JCC to charge my credit/debit card. 
  4. DECLINED CREDIT CARD/ RETURNED CHECKS- I understand that I am responsible and AUTHORIZE a $25 fee to be charged to the credit/debit card attached to my monthly draft for each declined credit card charge. I understand that I am responsible for a $25 fee for each returned check.
  5. DECLINED CREDIT CARD/ RETURNED CHECKS – I understand that if my initial credit/debit card does not have sufficient funds or if a cash payment is not submitted on time, then other credit/debit cards on file will be charged.  If I do not want another credit/debit card on file charged, I must notify our Registrar, Willys La Madriz, in writing at willys@alperjcc.org.
  6. I UNDERSTAND that my monthly JDays payment is due in full on the 5th of each month. I understand that there are NO Partial payments or Refunds due to absences, illness, vacations, or inclement weather.
  7. I UNDERSTAND that if I do withdraw my child from JDays and then want to re-enroll in JDays later in the same school year there is a re-enrollment fee of $50/Members and $65/Guests per child. 
  8. I UNDERSTAND families with outstanding balances of 30 days or more may be subject to withdrawal of their child/children from programs.
  9. I UNDERSTAND that JDays closes promptly at 6:00 pm Monday-Friday. LATE Pick-up any time between 6:00-6:05 pm on Monday-Friday, I will be charged $10.  LATE Pick-up after 6:05 pm on Monday-Friday, I will be charged an additional rate of $1 per minute. LATE Pick-up fee is due at the time of pick-up.
  10. Changes- All JDays changes must be submitted in writing via email to the JDays Team: youth@alperjcc.org & agolzbein@alperjcc.org and are subject to a $20 change fee. 
  11. DISMISSAL- The JDays Director reserves the right to terminate or suspend any child or deny his/her participation in any activity including off-campus field trips if his/her conduct, influence, or behavior is deemed unsatisfactory or harmful and not in the best interest of the program. NO REFUNDS will be given if a child is asked to leave.

Participant Code of Conduct

The following is our Code of Conduct. Please review the code with your child.

  • Children must stay with their counselor in assigned areas.
  • Children should show courtesy and good manners to all staff and fellow children.
  • Children must keep their hands and feet to themselves. Quiet zones in the facility should be observed.
  • Children must be respectful of camp property and fellow children's property.
  • Children must use appropriate language.
  • Children should follow the camp rules as set forth by the staff.
We reserve the right to implement the steps below as necessary based on the severity of the behavior problem. We
want everyone to have a fun and safe school year at our campus. Every effort will be made to deal with all situations in a
professional and sensitive manner.

 

Failure to obey the above rules may result in the following consequences:

  • Verbal warning given by counselor, which is neither humiliating nor frightening and is age-appropriate.
  • Time away from current activity.
  • Removal from the group and conversation with the Director along with a written discipline report.
  • The parent or caregiver is called and documented in the child's file.
  • Suspension from the program for a specified length of time or, if necessary, the entire program

Registration for Spring Break Mini Camp is now closed as most groups are full. To inquire about mini camp for your child, please email us at youth@alperjcc.org.   Please include your child’s name, current grade, days attending Mini Camp and any special needs.

Our tennis program offered in an age, equipment & size-appropriate format. At Alper JCC, we pride ourselves on using an advancement level colored balls system where the bounce & weight of the ball is regulated for their ability level, making the whole experience much more rewarding, successful & most of all FUN!

ORANGE BALL JR PROGRAM - Recommended for 6-10 Year Olds 

The ball is regular size, lighter, with an ORANGE dot. 50% pressure compared to a regular tennis ball to slow down some & still keep ball in players strike zone! (Racket size recommended 23"-25") .
Wednesdays from 4 PM-5 PM

JDay Juniors  -  Recommended for 10-13 Year Olds

The ball is regular size with a GREEN dot. 75% pressure compared to a regular tennis ball, feels the same weight but still avoids the ball bouncing way over shoulder & head height, for advanced technique improvements! (Racket recommended 26"-27")
