The Alper JCC offers a variety of programs and activities for adults to enjoy and learn while socializing with family and friends–-old and new.
Our Senior Adult Program offers stimulating and enjoyable activities for adults in their seventies and up three days a week.
There are also many programs that offer enrichment & support on an ongoing basis. These include wonderful Special Events that allow you to learn and expand your experiences.
For more information on adult programming, please contact Ilene Primack.
The program is made possible through the generosity of the Nacron Family. Lainey Nacron has said, "My husband Robert and I feel there is a tremendous need for cancer support systems in our community and we are delighted that the group is at the Alper JCC, where we have felt at home for many years."Since 2010, the Alper JCC has offered a unique program designed to help cancer survivors and their families. The Nacron Cancer Survivor Support Group meets in the JCC Art Gallery once per month, usually on the third Wednesday, for a free two-hour session covering an extensive range of topics.
Dates for 2019: Sept 18, Oct. 16, Nov. 20, Dec. 18
The group, overseen by Dr. Peggy Rios, has strong educational and social components fostering healthy living during and after cancer treatments. Appealing to a broad range of people affected by cancer, monthly topics may include:
