Book Summary: Saving Abigail is the true story of three-year-old Abigail Mor Edan, taken hostage by Hamas on October 7, 2023, when terrorists invaded Israel, killing 1,200 people and abducting 246 into Gaza.
Abigail's parents were murdered before her eyes, and she was taken from her ransacked border community. With no experience in diplomacy or hostage rescue, her great aunt, Liz Hirsh Naftali, launched an international campaign to save her engaging U.S. and global leaders, crossing political lines, and rallying unlikely allies in a determined effort to rescue Abigail from the terrorists who held her.

Book Summary: Thirty years ago, Laura's mother, Viola, vanished, leaving behind her keys, purse, and haunting paintings of a red house. On the back of each, she wrote in Italian," I will not be here forever?" The family never understood what Viola meant.
Decades later, at a crossroads, Laura returns to Italy, where her parents met after WWII. There, a mysterious scavenger hunt leads her from her hometown of Brindisi, deep into Puglia and through Naples and Turin, uncovering secrets of Viola's past and Italy's wartime history.
As Laura pieces together her mother's life, long-buried truths surface, revealing a story of identity, loss, and the enduring bond between mother and daughter.
