The Alper JCC offers a variety of programs and activities for adults to enjoy and learn while socializing with family and friends–-old and new.
Our Senior Adult Program offers stimulating and enjoyable activities for adults in their seventies and up three days a week.
There are also many programs that offer enrichment & support on an ongoing basis. These include wonderful Special Events that allow you to learn and expand your experiences.

Create Your Own Fun & Easy Challah Cover
Make a beautiful challah cover that is fun and simple using Sharpie markers and alcohol on cotton material. Sounds a tad fantastical, but you’ll end up with an amazing piece of art for your table. Don’t worry, patterns will be provided using traditional Jewish symbols that can be easily traced onto the material or you may create your own unique design. This project is so easy and clever that you won’t want to stop creating.

The class is designed to delight the artist or child within through music, movement and playful improvisations as well as to strengthen the physical body using Pilates exercises sitting on a chair. Special emphasis on correct alignment and progressive buildup of technique provide the class foundation. In addition, popular choreography from musicals and various dance styles from salsa to samba to charleston and other dance styles serve as inspiration for class routines . The class is perfectly suited for anyone recovering from an illness or injury or anyone who loves exercising through dance. The goal is to enrich our lives through play and dance. Medicare Seminar by Matthew Gold
As a Medicare Advisor, Matthew breaks down the options, benefits, and overabundance of information, into bite size pieces so everyone can understand. In this meeting, be prepared to learn the basics of Medicare and the Medicare process, and the choices that are available to you, including Medicare Supplements also known as Medi-Gap policies and Medicare Advantage programs. Matthew Gold earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Florida. He then went on to earn an MBA from Nova Southeastern University. Matthew has quite a diverse background, as he has experience working in the Banking, Mortgage and Food Industries. Meditate On It – For Beginners

Today, more and more people are using meditation to diminish the stress we all confront every day. If you’ve never tried it, fear not! We’ll show you how to relax, quiet your mind and try to become calmer, more focused and clearer thinking. It’s so easy to do you’ll wonder why you never tried it before. We invite you to drop into our small group as we utilize various guided meditations and share experiences. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a towel, mat or meditation chair. Suggested donation $5.
