Special Events
The Senior Adult Program at the Alper JCC is geared for people in their late 70s, 80s and 90s who want to be stimulated intellectually and socially.
Our schedule includes activities and programs that encompass education, entertainment and recreation-- all in a special atmosphere of warmth, caring and fun. Our outlook is youthful and active and we encourage our members to be involved in and knowledgeable about our community.
Guests may join us for three meetings before being asked to join the Alper JCC.

Cards and Games
Tuesdays, Noon-3:30 pm • Wednesdays & Thursdays, 10:30am-3:30pm
The JCC is a wonderful destination for fun and relaxation. Join us for a game of Rummy Q, Poker, whatever you enjoy the most. Meet your JCC friends for a mid-day game.
Sing ‘n’ Swing
Tuesdays, 1-2:30 pm
Enjoy and share the memories of when you first heard that “special” song. And how about those Yiddish melodies from your youth? Come sing with music by Claire, Marvin and Miss Cleo and dance and play instruments with your friends.
Senior Fitness
Tuesday, 12:30-1pm
The Fitness Center provides a certified fitness instructor to teach chair exercises that improve strength, circulation and energy.
Senior Lunch Trip
Wednesdays, 11am-1pm
Hop on board the bus as seniors pick their favorite place to eat and great.
Space is limited.
Music, Movement and Sing-A-Long
Thursdays, 1-3pm
Starting September 11
Join Ivy Ames, from Miami- Palmetto Adult and Community Education Center, for a time to increase your flexibility, stimulate your thinking and memory skills, use your imagination, learn movements that can be practiced at home, learn some new tunes, and have fun with your friends. Wear comfortable loose clothing and flat shoes. This is an excellent program for seniors with special needs.
