In a warm and caring atmosphere, the Glen Greenstein Early Childhood Development Center (ECD) encourages growth, curiosity, confidence and a life-long love of learning as well as an appreciation of Jewish heritage.
Our curriculum is based upon knowledge of child development, stages of socio-emotional growth, theories of how children learn, and principles of physical development. Through play and exploration, children gain skills in and knowledge of early math, literacy, science, and social studies.
Our program offers age-appropriate enrichments: swimming, creative movement, music and our own on-campus rabbi for weekly Shabbat and holiday celebrations. Our ECD offers care and education for children from infancy (our “Little Dreamers”) through preschool.
A JCC membership is required to enroll; special “program” memberships are available to ECD families. Non-Members may enroll in the State of Florida’s VPK free morning program, in
Parent/Child programs,
and After School Enrichment Classes.

8 weeks to 12 months old
This delightful infant program provides high-quality care and enriches children’s early experiences. The program is designed to help infants feel safe and protected, in a setting that is warm and “homelike.” Our experienced and nurturing staff help you feel secure, knowing that your child is in good hands and is receiving the best quality care available outside of your home. We base our program on these values:
• Development and emerging identity unfold day by day in the context of the young child’s relationships with a few caring adults. • Physical, social, emotional and cognitive development are intertwined. • Growth in all areas of development is far more rapid than during any other period of life. The baby’s needs and interests at any moment are the best guide to what will support emerging abilities.
The first three years of life are a unique period in human development. Our infants graduate into our toddler programs. Both programs are designed to work in partnership with you and your family.
Little Dreamers features:
• Experienced and caring professional staff. • A full infant curriculum including indoor and outdoor experiences. • Convenient scheduling: The program runs weekdays, year-round, except for some national and Jewish holidays. • Convenient hours: Children may arrive as early as 7:30am and stay as late as 6pm.

It has been almost eight years since the Florida legislature mandated universal hearing screenings for newborns. With early identification of hearing impairment, parents are finally given the opportunity to provide their children with the optimal conditions for acquiring language skills and achieving success in learning. Research shows that children with a hearing loss, who receive intervention in the critical time between birth and 3 years of age, have significantly better language, speech, and social-emotional proficiency. Yet in Miami-Dade County programs that provide these services for this early childhood population are limited to auditory/oral methods only - until now.
